A Timeless Kitchen Designed Around Everyday Living – Mrs Smith's Kitchen

Located in Stewarton, Mrs Smith's stunning new kitchen was designed by Kerry Young at our Kilmarnock showroom and supplied by Andersons.

We'd also like to give a special mention to Wallace Gilbert, who carried out the fitting of Mrs Smith's kitchen. His attention to detail and workmanship have helped bring Kerry's design to life beautifully.

From the carefully chosen cabinetry and worktops to the clever details throughout, every element has been considered to make the most of the space.

At the heart of the design is the Tatton kitchen range in Pebble. The soft neutral colour gives the room a light and fresh feel, creating a timeless backdrop that will work beautifully for years to come.

Paired with Quartz Icarus worktops, the crisp white surface complements the Pebble cabinetry perfectly, while the subtle veining adds just enough detail without overpowering the room.

One of the standout features of the design is the bespoke social area, which brings another dimension to the kitchen and creates a natural place to sit, relax and spend time together.

A generous island sits at the centre of the room, alongside a dedicated drinks area and beautifully crafted media wall. The illuminated glass display cabinets add a lovely feature to the space, while also providing somewhere to display favourite pieces.

The island naturally becomes the heart of the room, whether it's enjoying a coffee in the morning, catching up with family or simply having somewhere to sit while dinner is being prepared.

The appliance choices have been carefully considered to make everyday cooking as simple and practical as possible. This project features:

• Haier WiFi Induction Hob – Responsive, precise cooking with app connectivity for added convenience.
• NEFF Black Slide & Hide^® Oven – One of NEFF's most recognisable features, with the door sliding neatly underneath as it opens to provide easier access.
• NEFF Black 45cm Compact Combi Microwave – Positioned alongside the oven, keeping the cooking appliances together in one dedicated zone.
• Built-in Wine Cooler – Convenient storage for bottles within the drinks area.
• Lux Air Canopy Hood – Neatly concealed within the cabinetry to maintain the clean, uncluttered look of the kitchen.

It's the smaller details that can make a big difference to how a kitchen works, and Mrs Smith's design includes several clever touches.

A wireless charging pad has been incorporated into the worktop, allowing Mrs Smith to simply place her phone down to charge without the need for cables.

The sink area features a Caple Yorkshire farmhouse sink, paired with the Quartz Icarus worktops to create a practical workspace for everyday kitchen tasks.

Antique brass handles add warmth and character to the Pebble cabinetry, while Halo spotlights provide bright, even lighting throughout the space.

To complete the room, Mrs Smith chose Quick-Step Coral Rock flooring, which ties in beautifully with the soft neutral tones of the kitchen while providing a practical finish for everyday use.

The result is a kitchen that feels bright, balanced and welcoming, with plenty of thoughtful details that make it a pleasure to use.

A huge thank you to Mrs Smith for inviting us back to take a look around her beautiful new kitchen and for sharing her experience with us.
