Contemporary Style Meets Smart Living – Mr & Mrs Andrews’ Kitchen
A Bold & Contemporary Transformation – Mr. & Mrs. Bargh’s Kitchen
Modern Design with Everyday Functionality
When Mr and Mrs Andrews began planning their new kitchen, their main priorities were creating more storage, increasing worktop space, and making better use of the layout. The previous design left wasted space in the dining area and included an extra doorway into the hallway that wasn’t really needed.
Working with Kerry at our Kilmarnock showroom, the space was completely reimagined. By removing the additional doorway and redesigning the layout into a practical U-shape, the kitchen now makes far better use of the available space while creating a more functional and sociable environment for everyday living.
The couple were particularly keen on a minimal, modern look, which led to the choicee of a two-tone handleless design. The final result delivers both the sleek contemporary aesthetic they were hoping for and the practicality required for daily use.
A Modern Kitchen with a Minimalist Edge
The kitchen features the Luna range in Graphite and Grey, creating a striking two-tone contrast while maintaining a clean and contemporary feel.
The handleless-style design and smooth finishes help keep the space looking streamlined, while the neutral palette allows the textures and materials throughout the room to stand out. Integrated appliances and carefully coordinated finishes ensure the kitchen flows seamlessly from one area to the next.
Clever Hidden Storage
One of the standout features of this kitchen is the hidden pantry space, cleverly concealed behind what appears to be standard cabinetry.
This smart design solution provides valuable additional storage while helping to keep the main kitchen area clean, organised and clutter-free. It’s a great example of how thoughtful design can maximise functionality without compromising the kitchen’s sleek appearance.
Premium Materials & Finishes
Cabinetry & Hardware
The Luna cabinetry range offers sleek, modern lines and a sophisticated matte finish. The combination of graphite and grey tones creates depth and contrast while still keeping the overall look balanced and timeless.
Appliances Designed for Performance
Every appliance was carefully selected to balance style, reliability and everyday performance.
The kitchen includes a Neff Graphite Double Oven, offering precision cooking with a modern finish, alongside a Neff built-in microwave for added convenience.
Cooking is centred around the Neff Combizone induction hob, which provides flexible cooking zones and energy-efficient performance. Above this sits a Prima black glass angled cooker hood, creating a striking focal point while delivering powerful extraction.
Integrated refrigeration is provided by a Caple tall larder fridge and freezer, maintaining a seamless appearance while offering generous storage capacity. A Haier integrated dishwasher completes the appliance lineup, blending quietly into the cabinetry.
Finishing Details That Bring the Space Together
At the sink area, a Caple gunmetal undermount bowl introduces a subtle metallic accent that complements the graphite tones throughout the kitchen.
Carefully considered lighting and coordinated finishes help tie the entire design together, creating a space that feels modern, cohesive and refined.
Designed Around the Customer
For Mr and Mrs Andrews, the finished kitchen delivered exactly what they were hoping for — more space, improved storage, and a sleek contemporary design that works perfectly for everyday living.
